DESCRIPTION:This talk is a personal journey through the unexpected yet powerful convergence between professional risk management and endurance sports. As both a PMI-RMP certified project manager and a triathlete\, I’ve discovered how the principles behind the risk management processes can be directly applied to navigating high-stakes competitions and training blocks. And vice-versa! How being a athlete can help me boost my risk management skills. \nThrough real-life experiences and thought-engaging comparisons\, I’ll challenge the traditional vs. agile debate from both perspectives—debunking myths and reframing how uncertainty is approached. Can risk planning help you pace a triathlete race or marathon? How racing and training can help you better manage risks. What would GOAT say about risk\, mindset\, and preparation? \nThis presentation invites you to think differently about risk—not just as a professional discipline but as a skill which can influence way of doing different things. \n\nSpeaker\n \n  \nBranislav Zobenica \nBranislav completed his studies at the Faculty of Economics\, Department for Business Informatics\, at the University of Novi Sad\, Serbia. On a career long learning with PMI\, he earned PMP\, PfMP\, PMO-CP and PMI-RPM certificate. A former volleyball player and now triathlete\, Branislav strongly believes that meta-knowledge gained through any life experience\, can be applicable to any other as well.\nHe has years of experience in digital transformation\, helping many companies to transform their businesses with technology. As a former CEO of IT company and now Director for Technology and Transformation and member of the board of directors in one retail company (which operates in more than 20 companies in 13 countries central and south-east Europe)\, he holds a 360-degree perspective on digital transformation and value delivery. Throughout his career\, both as a professional and athlete\, he took positions in which team-play-oriented leadership\, mindfulness\, and adaptability were crucial for success.\nBranislav is President of the Serbian PMI Chapter since April 2024. To do this\, and to realize the greatest benefit for our projects\, we need to ensure our teammates feel safe to bring their unique experiences and best self to their work. By incorporating human-centered design /design thinking methodologies into your leadership toolkit\, you will be able to lower some structural barriers to success.
